How do I enable SMTP Authentication using Outlook?
Sep 1 - Start Microsoft Outlook.
Step 2 - Click the 'File' tab on the ribbon and then click 'Info'.
Step 3 - Click the 'Account Settings' button and then select 'Account Settings'.
Step 4 - Select the account for which you want to look up the SMTP information and then click the 'Change' button.
Step 5 - Look in the field next to 'Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)' to determine what SMTP server your email account is using (this should be exchange.mthservers.com).
Step 6 - Click 'More Settings' and click the 'Outgoing Server tab' and make sure that 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' is checked.
Step 7 - Click 'Advanced' and make sure that the Outgoing server settings are correct port 465 for SSL, port 26/587 for TLS.
