Back-up's Drucken

Your data is important - you know that, we know that, everyone knows that. This is why Backup's, Redundancy and Failover hardware are all a must have.

Here at MTH, we do our best to backup your data and keep things running in the event of any failures. Below we've laid out the back-up proceedures that we take:

  • Share Hosting (cPanel)
    • cPanel account backup's taken nightly
      • 7x Retention
    • Full server image taken weekly
      • 2x Retention
  • VPS
    • Full server image taken weekly

      • CDP Backup by our R1Soft Idera Backup system
        • Includes weekly off-site replication
      • Live replication to off-site location (windows only)
  • Dedicated Servers
    • Back-up method implimented by client
    • Optional:
      • NFS Attachment for backup purposes
      • CDP Backup by our R1Soft Idera Backup system
        • Includes weekly off-site replication

As well as physically copying and backing up your data, RAID configurations are used with hardware RAID Cards, which also have a battery backup to ensure no data corruption on loss of power; this enables them to finish the cycle they're writing at that point before powering down.

As confident we are of our network infrastructure, server setup, and reliability of components, failures can happen. However, these back-up's are for our convenience only and in the event of a server failure, we will endeavour to restore them as best we can. We cannot be held responsible for data loss or corruption or knock-on effects.

All clients are advised to ensure they make their own back-up's of some kind; be it through a 3rd party service, a local download or one of our robust R1Soft backup solutions. Please raise a Support Ticket if this is something you'd like to discuss implimenting and we'd be more than happy to assist.
